About

Ethan launched his film career on the cult classic From Dusk Till Dawn, written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Robert Rodriguez. Cutting his teeth at Troublemaker Studios in Austin, he went on to work on visually iconic films like Desperado and Sin City, honing a bold, kinetic style.

Maniquis brought his editorial talents to Miramax, crafting international stories across the globe-from the streets of Caracas (Sequestro Express) to the alleys of Beijing (Tian Lai Meng Xiang) and the boxing rings of Panama (Hands of Stone).

He made his directorial debut co-helming the box office hit Machete for 20th Century Fox, bringing grindhouse grit to the mainstream. Since then, he's directed features, commercials, and music videos -including the Spanish-language comedy Limonada, shot on location in the Dominican Republic.

Based in Los Angeles, but working worldwide, Maniquis continues to bring raw energy, visual flair, and global perspective to every project.
